中醫師公會全國聯合會表示，夏季「三伏天」是一年中日照時間最長、陽氣最旺盛的時節，搭配屬性辛溫的中藥藥餅，敷貼在特定穴位上，藉以激發體內陽氣，相輔相成排除體內的陰寒之氣，治療過敏、氣喘、腸胃功能不佳、皮膚炎等慢性疾病效果極佳，也廣泛應用在婦科疾病調理。

全聯會亦指出，根據最新臨床研究指出，敷貼三伏貼的嚴重過敏患者，超過40％嚴重度下降，治療後的第一周和一年分別有45.7％和59.1％的患者感受到三伏貼治療有效。另治療效率氣喘為71.4％、鼻炎為61.3％、溼疹為54.8％，且43.8％和23.1％的患者，分別在過敏發作和使用過敏症狀藥物量均有減少。

另外，研究也發現，以三伏貼改善過敏，19歲以下兒童的治療效果比成人更好。

睿鳴堂中醫診所中醫師周大翔表示，今年三伏天時間選在初伏日7月15日，中伏7月25日，末伏在8月23日結束，敷貼時間可選擇在這四周內共3次，一周敷貼一次，每次2～6小時，過敏疾病時間較長者，可在三伏天期間前、後延長一周，多敷貼1～2次加強療效。
