由於新鮮香菜不易保存，農糧署分享製作「萬用香菜醬」的方法，做法如下，首先把新鮮的香菜洗乾淨風乾，搭配檸檬汁、洋蔥、橄欖油及鹽攪打，裝入容器中保存，即完成製作，冷藏可存放1個星期，冷凍可存放1個月，無論是搭配鮭魚或雞肉等食材都很美味。
