一名60歲婦人腳底突然長了一顆黑痣，但因沒對生活造成影響，也不以為意，直到痣越變越大顆，還出現傷口，她為了省錢不想就醫，便自行塗抹外傷藥膏，怎料竟整塊爛掉，甚至爛到裡面去，才被緊急送到醫院。最終被診斷是黑色素瘤，屬於皮膚癌中惡性程度最高的一種，醫師直言，其通常很快就會轉移出去，十分不妙。

關於哪種痣較可能是癌症？皮膚科醫師黃柏翰在《醫師好辣》節目中提到，會長毛的痣實際上是先天性的痣，通常不需特別擔心；而痣變多，則與陽光曝曬有關，在於身上有些潛在的痣細胞，經紫外線照射後會有增加的情形，所以痣變多這件事意義不大，除非有原發性的黑色素瘤，開始在做局部轉移，但往往會呈現面積更大、類似潑墨畫暈開來那般，此種情況就要提高警覺。

而最有可能的是痣隆起，黃柏翰說，看起來像痣的惡性腫瘤，最常見的有基底細胞癌及黑色素癌，其中基底細胞癌多發生在農夫、漁夫等，長年在大太陽底下工作的族群身上，其生長速度很慢，但長久了確實會有點凸起。因此，若工作性質屬於需長時間接受日曬，且身上又發現有突起的痣，最好就醫檢查一下。

至於黑色素瘤該如何判斷？黃柏翰分享，可藉由「ABCDE法則」來進行自我檢測：
